True happiness comes from creating.
I struggled to find a healthy balance between activities that were productive and those that helped me relax through consuming media. That’s why I created this app. Zen serves as a helpful tool to balance both. I firmly believe that true happiness comes from creating, while also rewarding yourself with enjoyable activities. Of course, this doesn’t mean that productive work can’t be fun too.

FAQs
What is the purpose of this app?
I struggled to find a healthy balance between activities that were productive and those that helped me relax through consuming media. That’s why I created this app. Zen serves as a helpful tool to balance both. I firmly believe that true happiness comes from creating, while also rewarding yourself with enjoyable activities. What activities should I track?
It’s entirely up to you—whatever feels right. You can track all your creative work, like writing, coding, painting, or time spent learning, within the ‘Earn’ category. On the other hand, activities like reading a book, playing video games, or binge-watching a TV show can be tracked in the ‘Enjoy’ category.
Why are there only two categories?
The purpose of this app is not to overwhelm you with detailed task or activity tracking. It’s designed to be as simple as possible, focusing solely on representing your balance between productive work and leisure time.
What should I aim for?
The goal is to find balance at the center of the Zen scale. The timer allows you to go beyond 8 hours in either direction, but that’s when you might want to consider shifting back to productive work or a fun activity.
